We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic clinical professional to join our team based in Sydney on a 12 month contract. As a Clinical Application Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for the technical and clinical training support of our VisuMax 500, VISUMAX 800, Mel 80/90, including associated software programs, existing customer installation base & new installations. In addition, the role will support sales activities to secure business initiated by the Refractive Business Development Manager (BDM).
What you’ll be doing:
Conduct customer-oriented lectures and support KOL’s by providing input for their presentationsProvide thorough in-service training to each customer and user of our productsIdentify, develop and maintain KOL’s for key products. Develop plans with the Refractive BDM to leverage KOL’s in order to support the profound shift towards adoption of ZEISS technologies by their colleaguesSelect support of strategically important product demonstrations and support the Refractive BDM in securing key sales opportunitiesCommunicate with counterparts to glean best practices to accelerate clinical development in ANZMaintain a regular presence in the ophthalmology market to obtain customer input about new procedures, technologies and trends and to support strengthening our relationshipsInform customers of the availability of our service and maintenance programsClosely liaise with the Service Department to ensure customer problems are solved as quickly as possibleConsistent interstate and New Zealand travel requirements, including weekendsWhat you’ll need:
Previous experience in clinical and surgical training on refractive laser platforms; both excimer and femtosecondStrong clinical & surgical knowledge of ophthalmology, with particular strengths in refractive.Strong knowledge of practice workflows, patient management and practice business managementExcellent ability to teach and to translate refractive clinical/surgical knowledge and marketing messages to customersDemonstrated strong initiativeStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasksStrong communication and diplomacy skillsComputer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and database managementAbility to develop and deliver corporate level presentationsIn support of this role is an exceptional team with diverse experience & a genuine drive to aid success.
