Our systems and mobile apps offer a range of features to meet the specific needs of people living with diabetes. **The Role** The role of **Clinical Application Specialist i** s field-based and a part of the Finnish sales team. In this role, you will work independently to drive revenue growth in your assigned area by servicing the current customer base and establishing new accounts. A key part of the role is to grow relationships with physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders involved in the treatment of diabetes types 1 and 2. We are looking for someone with excellent personal and professional skills, who is ambitious and motivated to work with high-quality products that help patients live better lives with our leading, life-changing technology. For this role, we are looking for someone to cover the Kuopio, Oulu, and the Seinajoki triangle, so living or willingness to relocate to this region is a must. **Role and Responsibilities** + Represent Abbott to all physicians, nurses, and other customers in Finland, especially those directly responsible for or indirectly involved with the treatment of patients living with type 1 or 2 diabetes. + Advocate the software solutions to all levels in hospitals, specialty clinics, and physician's offices, including medical doctors and Chief Information Officers or IT staff. + Work closely with Abbott Diabetes Care regional and local sales teams and sales colleagues to develop and profitably grow new and existing customer accounts. + Support local teams in performing software-related installation and configuration processes for the Abbott Diabetes Care software solutions. + Deliver structured software application product training internally and externally if required. + Develop and implement customer-specific sales and project plans. + Drive Pre-Sales and support the overall Sales process by assisting in the planning of activities, ensuring all relevant information is captured. + Collaborate with patients ethically; commercial interest cannot override the interest of the patients. + Ensure and maximize sales of Abbott Diabetes Care products. + Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements. + Build sustainable customer relationships and leverage them to grow Abbott Diabetes Care share. + Maintain a high level of knowledge in software; study promotional material and participate in product and software tests. + Maintain a high level of selling skills; actively participate in sales training sessions. + Share best practices with the sales and marketing team. + Identify and meet customers' needs. **Your Profile** + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, medical, life science, medical technology, healthcare/pharmacy, data processing, or equivalent. + Degree in medical, life sciences, or medical technology is preferred. + 1-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position with a proven track record in sales. + 3 years of experience in IT project management is preferred. + 2 years of experience in healthcare with a focus on customer-facing post-sales IT support is preferred. + IT consulting experience is preferred. + Experience in pharmaceuticals or hospital accessories is an advantage. + Understanding of IT technology in hospitals, outpatient care, e-health, and insurance environments is essential. + Knowledge of how technology adds value in healthcare. + Excellent IT functional expertise and industry knowledge in healthcare and/or laboratory medicine. + Strong relationship-building and consulting skills. + Service-driven and commercially minded. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues. + Willingness to work in cross-functional teams. + Ethical and patient-centric approach. + Strong negotiation skills. + Scientific orientation. + Ability to sell value to decision-makers and payers. + Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + High personal commitment and drive. + Fluent in local language and English, both spoken and written.
