Job Description:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville seeks up to a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor for the position of Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology at our Downtown campus. Candidates must:

Be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida medical license.

The general responsibilities of faculty members at the Downtown campus are patient care, and resident and medical student education. Major responsibilities of the position include outpatient care of general Ob-Gyn patients, coverage of Labor and Delivery, provision of surgical care for patients with general gynecological disorders, and teaching (both clinical and didactic) and clinical supervision of Ob-Gyn residents and medical students. All candidates should be dedicated to providing high quality patient care and exemplary teaching. The position offers excellent benefits including as well as sovereign immunity. The position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

Expected Salary:

Negotiable; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should have a MD/DO and be BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology. In addition, they must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida medical license.
