Clinical Assistant Professor - Integrated Medicine - AZCOM

The Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) is recruiting for a part- time (.5 FTE) position for a board certified Physician in Emergency Medicine or Radiology, for the Clinical Education Department with an academic rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or above.  Rank will commensurate with experience and credentials.  

Under the direction of the Chair of the Department of Integrated Medicine or his/her designee the job duties will include:

Participate in the curricular development and delivery of clinical and basic science courses during the first and second year; Develop, organize and provide workshop break-out sessions for the first and second year courses; Work with the Associate Dean of Curricular Integration and Faculty Development to integrate the curriculum into other parts of the four-year curriculum; Attend faculty and staff supervisory training sessions, when indicated; Attend and participate in Department of Integrated Medicine Faculty meetings; Participate in annual site visits at clinical rotation sites; Work with the Department Chair on annual budget as it pertains to clinical courses; Develop new methods of delivering an innovative, comprehensive and standardized curriculum; Participate in faculty development sessions, when indicated; Mentor and remediate students having difficulty with curricular course work; Participate in writing, revising, and grading OSCE cases and SOAP notes for courses across the four years; Participate as an NBOME item writer, as well as selected NBOME committees, when indicated; Involvement in student advisement as it pertains to student career development; Participate in AZCOM Committees, when indicated; Participate in MWU community-based opportunities on an annual basis. 

Position Requirements: The position requires a D.O. from a COCA accredited school or a U.S. licensed M.D. with board certification in the area of emergency medicine or radiology.   This individual must have at least 3 years of active clinical practice experience in the area of emergency medicine or radiology.  The position requires an active Arizona medical license or license eligibility.  This individual must demonstrate computer proficiency in database management and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Publisher).
