Supervise or support field-based courses and curricula, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students. Additionally, this faculty member will engage in service and/or leadership opportunities as part of their duties and participate in departmental, college, and university meetings and committees. The faculty member may choose to engage in scholarship of practice. Educational Requirements for the Position Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or related field.
Experience Required for the Position Must hold or be eligible for state public school teaching certification and/or have a minimum of three (3) years public secondary school teaching experience. Demonstrated excellence in teaching. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and a willingness to communicate current trends in the field to students and other constituencies. Other Requirements for the Position Preferred qualifications include: working with field-based secondary school sites, University teaching, and teaching in different modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses are preferred. Candidates should have the potential for developing collaborative partnerships with the community.
