This position will travel to outlying counties to provide CPT (Child Protection Team) services in rural communities. Responsibilities include: + Provides case management and individual advocacy to all VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) clients and their families. Provides evaluation and crisis counseling as needed for VOCA clients. Generates reports and releases medical results to appropriate agencies. Provides face to face information and referral to appropriate local resources for counseling and / or medical needs. Provides follow-up contact on all VOCA cases. + Functions as a coordinator of clinical programs by assisting medical staff with medical evaluations of allegedly abused and/or neglected children. Participates in a rotating on-call schedule to provide emergent services to VOCA clients 24/7. Provides coverage to satellite offices as needed. + Provides victim compensation forms to all VOCA clients and their families and provides assistance in the completion of these forms. + Maintains client records consistent with program requirements. Follow up with community partners to ensure CPT has provided all necessary services and documentation. Gather any additional information from community partners to assist with case closure. + Participates in peer review and case staffing as needed. + Tracks and records all VOCA cases and services to VOCA clients. + Travels to outlying areas to provide depositions and court testimony as required and to conduct training to school age children. (Must have valid Driver’s License) Expected Salary: $50,000 - $52,000; commensurate with education and experience. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: EDUCATION & TRAINING: + BA or MA degree of psychology, social work, nursing, or another behavioral science EXPERIENCE: + At least two (2) years of experience working with children and families with one (1) year of that experience involving work with abused and neglected children KNOWLEDGE: + Familiar with the Florida Child Welfare system SKILLS: + Must use critical thinking to prioritize daily task and duties to ensure the needs of community partners and families in crisis are met. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Must have be able to navigate multiple job specific databases + Must possess college-level writing skills + Must be able to multi-task DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES: + Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations + Ability to deal with periodic pressures and levels of responsibility + Ability to make independent judgments without supervision + Ability to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria + Ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions Special Instructions to Applicants: In order to be considered, you must upload your cover letter and resume.
