Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift with flexible schedule (8-5P, 9-6P, 8:30-5:30P)

Here’s What You Need
Education
· Bachelor's Degree required
Experience
· 5 years communications experience in a corporate, agency, or journalistic setting is required.
· Healthcare experience is preferred.
What You Will Do
This role works under tight deadlines to create content focusing on clinical and patient and family communication. It’s a fast-paced role that requires a communicator who dives in and isn’t afraid to ask questions to understand new concepts and then quickly translates them into engaging content for various audiences.
Content Creation
· Create multimedia content for designated stakeholder audience (e.g., internal stakeholders such as physicians or nurses, patients, families etc.) that seeks to clearly articulate Texas Health's key messages and align with brand voice and tone.
· Identifies opportunity to leverage content developed across channels and verticals within Brand Experience, working to leverage system tools for digital asset management.
· Obtains and records appropriate consent, tags assets and stores them appropriately for cross-functional use and search.
· Writes, edits, and gains approval on communications.
· Works closely with key stakeholders to determine distribution and approval processes.
· Understands all internal and external Texas Health communications channels and works to keep channel owner apprised of content under development and seeks to coordinate with existing schedules.
Internal Communications Management
· Serve as day-to-day communications contact for internal stakeholders and subject matter experts. Respond to requests from internal stakeholders for communication support, collaborating on story content with subject matter experts, clinical and otherwise. Identify requests that indicate potential for unfavorable outcomes or competing organizational priorities.
· Maintain regularly Monday.com project status updates and filing on SharePoint.
· Communicate with leaders regarding timing and team member sentiment around content under development. Monitor internal channels and help develop responses as needed, mindful of brand voice and tone.
· Track and share perspectives on emerging internal communications channels and emerging internal media, with a goal of increased team member engagement and adaptations as needed to internal channels. Look for opportunities to leverage Texas Health subject matter experts to increase presence.
· Supports internal communication for assigned areas/departments/entities with a focus on localizing key strategic priorities and supporting key strategic initiatives. Works in conjunction with key stakeholders’ team to localize key messages.
· Serves as a communications liaison assigned areas/departments/entities, to anticipate needs as well as elevate and integrate strategic system communication for continuity and understanding across the organization.
Internal Counsel & Relationships
· Establish and maintain effective relationships with leadership throughout the system including, service line leaders, physicians and others to identify story ideas and provide counsel as needed.
· Offer direct and persuasive counsel relative to the value of proposed story idea and offer alternative approaches more likely to ensure success as needed.
· Coach and counsel contacts using candid, direct approach regarding delivery and tone of talking points and key material.
· Encourage and initiate media training for spokespeople as needed.
