Job Summary: Plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate operations of the department. Maintains accountability for staff and department performance. Participates in organization-wide coordination of patient care and integration of departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division, and departmental mission, goals and values. Position is clinical and will represent 80% clinical practice including on-call rotation to meet departmental demands including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state/compact license). Bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior leadership experience preferred. A minimum of three years nursing experience with one-year GI/Pulmonology procedural experience. Thorough knowledge of GI/Pulmonary procedural nursing principles, methods, and techniques. Demonstrated skills in performing nursing procedures; ability to deal tactfully with staff, patients, physicians, other departments, and families/visitors. Significant ability to coach, mentor, and manage staff.
