Clinical Data Abstractor Analyst

Position Summary:

Analyzes clinical data, generates reports, and provides actionable insights. This position will be critical in driving performance improvements and achieving better patient care outcomes. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:

Collects, cleans, and manages clinical data from various sources in a timely manner. Analyzes clinical data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support continuous quality improvements. Develops and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings effectively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including healthcare providers, quality improvement staff, and IT, to ensure accurate data reporting and analysis. Provides data-driven recommendations to enhance clinical practices and patient care. .      Develops, coordinates, and applies statistical analysis when producing periodic documents or presentations according to reporting requirements and schedule. Participates in the development and implementation of data quality assurance processes.       Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Qualifications:

Required:

·         Associate’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, informatics, or related field with two years of experience in clinical data analysis or a similar role

OR

·         Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, informatics, or related field

Preferred:

·         Two years of experience with database management and/or analysis

·         Two years of experience with BCBSM P4P and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs
