Overview The Clinical Dietitian R.D. in Maternal Fetal Medicine will provide nutritional services to patients during pregnancy. The Clinical Dietitian, R.D. uses evidence-based research to develop and implement nutrition intervention(s) and monitor and evaluate patient progress in providing medical nutrition therapy. The Clinical Dietitian, R.D. would also provide services to include but are not limited to medical nutrition therapy and developing/updating patient education materials for our high-risk patients with comorbidities such as diabetes, obesity, post bariatric surgery, hypertension etc. Participates in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure that nutrition care is safe and effective, is involved in team conferences, and is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Provides food and nutrition-related in-service and education. Contributes to the development and revision of departmental policies and protocols.
