Position Highlights:

The Clinical Dietitian assesses, plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the standards of nutrition therapy and with interdisciplinary collaboration focused on the needs of the patient. In addition to providing care to patients in need of inpatient and/or outpatient services, there are opportunities to contribute to presentations, publications, supervision of students/interns and execution of departmental education efforts which will contribute to advancement in the Clinical Ladder.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following: At least 1 year of clinical experience Master’s degree in nutrition

Responsibilities:

Complete assessments and reassessment of assigned patients in accordance to established standards of care and practice including selecting assessment tools, tests and measures, goal setting, etc. Participate in interdisciplinary team planning and coordination of care. Participate in education in-services, presentations, etc., as needed. Accurately performs documentation on each evaluation and treatment session within the electronic medical record and accurately documents billing charges.

Credentials and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition Current Registration with CDR or RD Eligible with successful registration within 6 months of hire date. Temporary Florida licensure required if not currently licensed in the state of Florida. BLS Certification One year of clinical experience preferred. Clinical experience in an acute care hospital during Dietitian externships will be accepted.
