The Clinical Dietician Level I assesses nutrition status of assigned patients and implement all components of the nutrition care process according to food and nutrition department policies and local regulatory standards (IDPH, TJC, CMS, etc.). Monitors and evaluates nutrition interventions, makes appropriate adjustments to plans, and reports results of quality outcomes in the inpatient and outpatient setting. The Clinical Dietician Level I is an entry level position within a professional career progression.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

Required: Bachelors Degree

Preferred: Master's Degree • Specify Degree(s): Dietetics, Nutrition or Family & Consumer Science with ACEND (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) requirements completed

Residency: N/A

Minimum Experience: •

Required: Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications:

Required: Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed as a Dietitian Nutritionist with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Must obtain registration and licensure within 60 days of hire date.

• Other: Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Pay Range: $58,240 - $78,478.40 per year 

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
