CLINICAL DIRECTOR

 

Clinical Director is a primary member of the Site Management and Treatment Committees.  Primarily responsible for assessing student mental health needs, supervising the activities and staff that provide individual, group and family therapy, and monitoring students with mental illness and/or receiving psychotropic medications.  Depending on the site, the Clinical Director reports to the Program Director.  

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Social Work or Human Services.  Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology preferred. Current State Licensure - LCSW, LMFT, or LPC along with CACIII preferred. Prior Experience with female substance abuse issues or Addictions Counselor certification required. Five years of clinical and administrative experience in a hospital or residential setting preferred. Designs and reviews special management programs and presents these programs to the multidisciplinary team, treatment committee and/or group living staff. Reviews and approves individual treatment plans and progress reports for all youth.  Special attention given to youth with mental health issues and receiving psychotropic medication. Works closely with Case Management and the Clinical Team regarding the mental health needs of students, assisting in the behavior management of students with mental illness or mental issues. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people and projects. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required. Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver.  Must possess a current State Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record for the past (3) years. Strong knowledge of overall company operations and policies and procedures. Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB Test. Ability to perform work with little or no supervision. Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects. Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing. Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week with the possibility of varied schedule. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must have excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships. Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all employees and outside constituents. Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a multi-task environment. Must be flexible and be able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions. Proficient in the use of computers and associated software.
