Short Description
Direct responsibility for the daily operations of assigned department(s); including but not limited to: overseeing daily practice operations, recruitment, retention, adherence to policies and procedures, support ongoing education of staff, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and responsible for fiscal responsibility of unit/department.
Overview
Pavilion 9 is a 30-bed cardiac medical/surgical and cardiac intermediate unit. Pavilion 9 staff care for complex cardiac patients including cardiac surgery patients, structural heart (TAVR), cardiac catheterization/coronary angioplasty, heart failure and other various cardiac processes. The Pavilion 9 nurses receive specialized training to care for our cardiac surgery populations.
Experience Required
3- 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership abilities. 6-10 years preferred. Requires strong planning skills and a solid understanding of Patient and Family Centered Care.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Education Requirements
Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing. BSN required.MSN preferred
License/Certification Requirements
Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse, BLS certification. National certification preferred within area of specialty for critical care, operating room, endoscopy and trauma. Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NRP, PALS).
Certification within specialty area preferred (CCRN, CMSRN, CNOR, CEN, PCCN, CNML,
NE-BC…)
