TCHATT Clinical Director 

Department of Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine University at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a full-time Clinical Director for its Texas Child Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program. TCHATT, a state grant funded program, currently employs approximately 20 therapists and advanced practice practitioners who provide mental health services to children in public schools by telemedicine. 

Applicants must possess a Master's or PhD degree in a clinical mental health field and be licensed in the State of Texas to practice in their field (LPC, Clinical Psychologist, LMSW, LMT, etc.). Academic Rank will be commensurate with experience. Individuals with a Master's degree will be eligible only for the Rank of Faculty Specialist. 

Duties will include ensuring the goals of the TCHATT program are met. The Clinical Director will oversee all clinical therapists in the program.  The TCHATT practice manager and clinical supervisors will report to the Clinical Director. The Clinical Director in turn will report to the Director of TCHATT and the Chair of the Department. The applicant should have at least two years of experience supervising clinicians and have clinical experience in the area of child mental health. The applicant should also have experience in handling data and be proficient with technology, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic data analysis tools. The Clinical Director will also supervise the outreach team that performs liaison with school districts in the TCHATT program. The clinical director should see their own patients in TCHATT at least one half-day week.
