As a member of the Nursing Education team, you will have the opportunity to work with nursing leadership to support bedside clinicians in the delivery of care. You will be responsible to support newly hired, as well as existing, employees to be proficient and competent caregivers. As a clinical educator you will assist at the elbow on your unit(s), provide classroom training and education, and develop education and issue in the Learning Management System.

Develop orientation plans for new hires Follow candidates from interview to successful completion of orientation Contribute to specialty-specific skills day content Contribute to the continuing education of the nursing staff Train staff to respond to surgical emergencies Develop training and education on specialty specific topics, equipment, diagnoses, and skills Ensure policies and practice are compatible and correlate Collaborate with clinical directorsRequirements
Current licensure to practice Professional Nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Master's Degree in Nursing Education or another relevant field CNOR, CPAN, or certification in appropriate clinical specialty preferredExperience
5 years relevant clinical experience in acute surgical services Management experienceSummary: To provide programs of orientation, in-service, and continuing education for all members of the surgical nursing departments at Crozer Health, including but not limited to Crozer Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital; to provide supervision and guidance to employees in the acquisition of knowledge and the performance of department specific skills; to design and implement programs to meet the learning needs of staff to provide high quality care to the patients they serve
