Clinical Educator Nursing – Behavioral Health 

Inova Health System’s Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a Clinical Educator Nursing to join our team supporting Behavioral Health. This role is full-time, M-F, typical office hours (with an occasional off shift variable night).

Responsibilities:

The Clinical Educator Nursing conducts educational assessments to identify learning needs using standards of specialty nursing practices, clinical pathways and guidance from nursing strategic initiatives. Assesses, designs/plans, implements and evaluates educational programming for growth in knowledge, skills, practice and attitudes. Creates educational experiences for both new and experienced team members through integration of theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles, and clinical nursing expertise. Requirements:

Hours: full-time, M-F, typical office hours (with an occasional off shift variable night) Location: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, HealthCare, Education and/or other relevant field. Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License
