The Clinical Faculty maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the AmericanNurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s SocialPolicy Statement.  The Clinical Faculty actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performancemeasures for Montefiore Medical Center.  The Clinical Faculty participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintainsprofessional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The Clinical Faculty demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.  Provides Montefiore associates and its community with high quality learning activities, guidance,and instruction to facilitate learning and ongoing growth and development

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
a.Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license required.
b.Master’s degree in nursing or the equivalent.
c.Three years of active nursing experience and one year of relevant teaching experience.

d. One year of ED experience preferred.

e.  Exhibits independent judgement: 

Critical thinking skills necessary to implement the functions of the roles of the clinical faculty.
Selects appropriate instructional strategies for targeted audiences.
 Develops educational programs appropriate to the needs of the associates of the Medical Center.
 Delivers educational programs in collaboration with associates across the organization.
 Defines innovative instructional approaches to education.
 Exercises independent thinking in conjunction with a team approach to all aspects of job functioning.
 Incorporates evidence- based research into educational program development.

 

Monday through Friday - DAYS - 7am-3.30pm, no weekends.
