Clinical Informaticist-Intermediate
(This position is hybrid and will require some onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana with occasional travel as well)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Clinical Informaticist you will be utilizing clinical process knowledge to participate in the design, validation, and implementation support of integrated technologies of the clinical information system for the New Downtown Hospital Design and Construction project. This position may facilitate the development of future state clinical workflows for innovative technologies in conjunction with clinical staff; as well as helping to identify and address current workflow gaps to improve efficiencies. This position will work closely with the Clinical IS Project Manager and Program Manager, as well as IS Clinical Application Support teams and facility-based clinicians. This person will coordinate the testing and validation of future system design with the clinical staff within the context of their defined future workflow. During implementation events, this person will be a Clinical IS subject matter expert to the clinical staff for their assigned area for the duration of the event. This position will assist with activation planning for their assigned projects. This position will be assigned to the regional strategic projects working with our design and construction teams on new hospital builds and implementation.STRONGLY PREFERRED:
Clinical Experience (hospital inpatient) Clinical Informatics Experience Knowledge of healthcare systems /EMR Experience Ambulatory Experience Nursing DegreeREQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required, RN preferred. Requires current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Dietitian, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist, or other). 3-5 years of clinical experience required. Previous experience in data systems is required. Informatics related certification, or willingness to obtain certification within one year of employment.
