Responsibilities The Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for providing workflow analysis and end-user support with the electronic medical record (EMR). Workflow analysis will involve the maintenance and optimization of the EMR in joint venture with the site end-users, director, managers and IST analysts/Clinical Informatics. Position is highly involved in supporting and promoting the eSummit project as well as provides clinical patient documentation, medication, and other order entry assistance for providers and care staff with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Qualifications Job Requirements: 4-Year Degree RN, RT, Rx or other related health care professions. Associate's in healthcare, business or computer related major or equivalent experience. 2 years experience as an end-user with Clinical Information Systems and computerized clinical charting. 2 years experience in healthcare setting with demonstrated understanding of clinical practice. Preferred Job Requirements: Process Engineering or Quality Improvement experience. Bachelor's preferred Training experience, 2 years experience in process redesign/workflow analysis, policy and procedure development, training, testing or education. Proficiency in flow diagramming software
