Summary

Moffitt Cancer Center invites applicants for a Clinical Instructor position in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology.

This is an advanced specialty training position with individualized learning goals designed to allow the doctor to develop specific advanced skills in surgery and patient management.  These Instructors will have completed all required formal training to practice within gynecology (i.e. will have completed an OB/GYN residency) or a gynecologic specialty.  They may bill for some services provided during their autonomous and mentored practice within the Cancer Center and have some clinical responsibilities and expectations similar to those of an Assistant Member.  However, their time is also dedicated to additional training in surgery and clinical care, and there is opportunity for participation in related research.  This training should competitively prepare the Instructor-Member for a fellowship subspecialty application or for advanced clinical and surgical capabilities in their future practice. The training component is overseen by the Academic Faculty of the GYN ONC department under the direction of the Chair.  The tenure is 1 year, with the potential to extend in certain cases.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess an M.D./D.O. degree, with completion of a gynecology residency and/or fellowship in another gynecologic subspecialty.  They must be able to obtain a medical license to practice medicine in Florida.
