**Job Description** The Clinical Instructor at the Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing (PSON) will demonstrate a strong interest in and commitment to the teaching mission of the School of Nursing. The clinical instructor works closely with nursing students in accelerated and RN to BS academic programs through lectures, clinical simulation learning activities, and through experiential learning in acute care and community health settings. The clinical instructor applies an innovative approach to teaching and learning which supports students caring for diverse patient populations. Supports and enhances the diversity, equity and inclusivity and belonging work of PSON students, faculty, and staff. **Qualifications** Required Education: Master?s Degree in Nursing One or more years of experience in teaching at undergraduate levels in nursing, or in professional staff development in acute care settings; and three or more years of professional experience in an acute care setting as a registered nurse (RN), advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). Experience with clinical instruction, active learning, concept-based teaching, simulation, and inter-professional education is desirable. New York Non-Bargaining Unit, AIK - School Of Nursing-Level I - BI, Mount Sinai Beth Israel **Responsibilities** Teaching Responsibilities: + Teaches assigned lecture, clinical and/or simulation courses in baccalaureate (accelerated bachelors and RN to BSN completion) programs. + Utilizes strategies including active learning, simulated experiential learning, and clinical experiential learning in hospital or other health care settings or in community care situations as required by course assignments. + Develops course content using approved course descriptions, course objectives, and content delivery approaches within the faculty governance structure. + Collaborates with other faculty on curriculum and course planning at the undergraduate levels, using concept- and competency-based teaching and learning assessment strategies. + Collaborate with colleagues in practice settings through academic-practice partnerships to contribute to student learning, practice improvement, or community outreach. Service Responsibilities + Participates in PSON and Health System service activities including faculty governance committees, community outreach activities, or project workgroups.
