The Clinical IT Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for this position primarily handles Automation site and involves managing and maintaining middleware for automation devices, as well as carrying out improvement tasks.
This position is part of the Clinical IT Team located in Seoul, South Korea, and will be remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Clinical IT Team and report to the Clinical IT Supervisor responsible for Middleware and four important automation clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and global partners, to support laboratory automation systems.
- Lead the installation and optimization of middleware programs for enhanced lab performance.
- Analyze and improve laboratory workflows to maximize efficiency and automation capabilities.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions for technical challenges related to middleware and automation systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support to key clients.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development or a related IT/computer operations field.
- Proficiency in C# programming with in-depth knowledge of LIS and EMR systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Experience in device control using interfaces such as TCP/IP and RS232.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Up to 10% travel may be required, depending on project needs.
- Travel may include overnight stays for client meetings, conferences, or on-site collaboration.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, travel to client sites or off-site meetings may be required.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with database technologies, such as SQL and MySQL databases.
- Experience in programming language VB
- Familiarity with management tools such as SVN
