The Clinical Lab Coordinator prepares blood and urine for analysis to diagnose, treat and prevent disease. This individual performs testing and reports results through the laboratory computer system. The Clinical Lab Coordinator performs related duties including quality control, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, workload recording, incomplete work lists, ordering and stocking supplies. He/she follows state and other agency regulations. The Clinical Lab Coordinator organizes and prioritizes workload for maximum productivity.
Qualifications:
A. Education
1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
B. Experience
1. Minimum of two years' experience as a phlebotomist required
2. Experience with point-of-care testing preferred
C. Licensure
1. PBT (ASCP or equivalent)
