Clinical Lab Technician

Title: Clinical Lab Technician 
Location: Louisville, KY
Type: 6-month Contract to Hire
Shift/Schedule:  5-Day Schedules: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday (1st or 2nd shift)
4x10 Schedules: Thursday–Sunday, Friday–Monday, or Saturday–Tuesday (1st or 2nd shift)

Responsibilities: Conduct various lab tests (microarrays, PCR, qPCR, NGS) using automated/manual methods. Perform lab tasks: extractions, library prep, reagent prep, plating, data analysis, inventory management, and quality control. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment (e.g., KingFisher, Hamilton MicroLab Star, MiSeq). Follow and enforce SOPs for specimen processing, safety, and accurate results. Maintain accurate records using Good Documentation Practices; address protocol deviations. Participate in quality control/assurance activities and recommend process improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Proficient lab skills: micropipetting, dilutions, and safety protocols. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Familiarity with lab information systems and computer proficiency. CAP/CLIA lab experience preferred Experience working with human samples preferred #M3
