There is also a 40% premium on the hourly base pay for all hours worked during the defined weekend. This is an Hourly position. Overview **Sign on Bonus Eligible** 1 year- $4,500 2 year- $9,000 3 year- $18,000 POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Laboratory Technician II performs a variety of laboratory testing to aid in the diagnosis of disease,which may also include specimen collection, training personnel, and students. Duties include performing quality control, preventive maintenance on equipment, and minor troubleshooting with referral of complex issues to senior employees. Independent judgment and professional education and certification are required. This position has additional responsibilities that are delegated by the Laboratory Manager and/or Lab Supervisor based on the needs of the Laboratory Department. Will be required to work 11 out of every 12 weekends Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: An associate’s degree as a Clinical Laboratory Technician with the successful completion of the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification CLT exam or obtained within the first year of employment Alternative associate degrees are acceptable with successful completion of ASCP or AMT CLT certification exam prior to employment. Experience: Minimum 3 years CLT experience. License/Certifications: CLT(ASCP) or (AMT) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Other Skills/Knowledge: Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time with good organizational skills, judgment and technical skills. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians and other clinical personnel when responding to routine inquires and reporting laboratory results. Analytical skills necessary in order to interpret routine tests, recognize abnormal test results and troubleshoot equipment.
