Responsibilities Supports the care delivery team in the administrative office for a variety of patient and family related tasks, such as coordination of discharge, durable medical equipment and other vendor needs. Communicates with patients, vendors and hospital staff as needed. Provides administrative support for tracking ongoing care activities (vendor liaison, equipment pickup coordination, scheduling appointments). Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in a healthcare setting such as unit secretary, clinic operations, health administrative assistant or front office. Preferred Associate's degree in business, healthcare or related field. Bilingual (specifically fluent in Spanish).
