Clinical Manager Ambulatory Families Community Health

Inova Cares for Families – Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Clinical Manager Ambulatory Families Community Health to join the team. This role will be full-time, dayshift, M-Th 8:30 am – 5:00 pm & Fridays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, no weekends or nights. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Available. Travel required: Covers Inova Cares sites in Alexandria, Annandale, Fairfax, & Mount Vernon.

Clinical Manager Ambulatory Families Community Health Job Responsibilities: 

Oversees assigned area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks. Anticipates needs of the patients or families and facilitates effective treatment plans. Ensures timely resolution of issues. Works collaboratively with physicians, nursing, therapy and other members of the interdisciplinary team to effect timely and appropriate patient management. Analyzes patient outcomes and program trends through an inter-disciplinary approach. Participates in monthly reporting of trends and outcomes that identify patient/client populations at program meetings and management operational meetings. Manages, supervises and facilitates the development of staff and oversees the day-to-day tasks/activities in the department. Participates in the interviewing/hiring process by reviewing job profiles, candidate applications and resumes, developing behavioral interview questions, conducting and evaluating interviews in a timely fashion and providing feedback/recommendation in hiring decision. Acknowledges and provides reward/recognition to staff and/or team members. Develops and implements educational materials and methods in support of team member abilities to document appropriately to the patients' level of understanding and motivation, as evidenced by chart review, observation and team feedback. Other duties, as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

Hours: full-time, dayshift, M-Th 8:30 am – 5:00 pm & Fridays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, no weekends or nights Location: Inova Cares for Families - Fairfax with coverage at Inova Cares sites in Alexandria, Annandale, Fairfax, & Mount Vernon Education: BSN or MSW is preferred. BSN, MSW, MHA or related Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years of experience total, in lieu of degree. Experience: RN or MSW experience in families health is preferred. Three years of experience related to the clinical scope with one year of direct supervisor/manager/team lead experience; or 8 years of experience total, in lieu of degree. Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association; If BSN, licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or if MSW, licensed as a LCSW.
