This clinical leadership position provides day-to-day management and oversight of patient throughput through our flagship health center location in Asbury Park, including primary care and two critical, specialized programs within VNACJ Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center serving Monmouth County, NJ.
The two specialized programs under the oversight of this leader are: LGBTQ Center for Health and Wellness and Ryan White Part C, serving patients in the eastern (Asbury Park) and western (Freehold) part of Monmouth County.
The LGBTQ Center for Health and Wellness provides inclusive, patient-centered primary health care and specialty services to a vibrant, but also underserved community.
The Ryan White Part C Program provides comprehensive HIV primary care.
Responsibilities
Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues up, down, and across the organization Oversees all aspects of program coordination and care delivery, ensuring compliance with all internal and external policy and procedureSupervises direct reports in conjunction with the organization’s managerial/ leadership practicesMonitors compliance with all grant funding requirements; prepares and submits all required reporting and data monitoring; leads the team in preparation for site visits and other auditsCollaborates with VNACJ CHC’s leadership team to support and execute the organization’s overall strategic plan, as well as mission deliveryWorks with the marketing and community outreach teams to create awareness of programs and services offered, as well as accommodate both internal and external referralsOversees the environment of care and adheres to agency infection control and safety policies and procedures; monitors employee performance in the sameLiaisons with the Billing Manager/Supervisor and billing team to ensure oversight of front office functions that pertain to effective billing and claims managementCollaborates with leadership team members in sites where services are co-located on all aspects of highly reliable care delivery, including promoting a positive patient experience from check-in to check-outProvides training and mentorship to newly hired team members directly and/or coordinates the appropriate, comprehensive onboarding plan specific to the role Regularly engages with community members, persons served, and other key stakeholders to ensure inclusive and specialized care deliveryFacilitates regular, efficient, and meaningful team meetings, huddles, and other touchpointsAssists in preparing the grant applications and corresponding budgets for the designated programsOversees documentation of all required data into the reporting systems including CareWare Tracks and collects Ryan White patient eligibility and Cap on Charges for Ryan White patientsAdheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance Qualifications RN; BSN required5+ years of clinical nursing experience, prior management experience preferredCurrent BLS certificationMust have excellent interpersonal skills and empathy towards others, as well as excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, the capacity to function independently, and the ability to document meticulously Knowledge of trauma informed care principles and practices preferredMust have excellent process improvement skills and able to understand clinic functions and department interactionsKnowledge of practice management components, particularly in cost-constrained environmentsAbility to manage and supervise various positions and relate well to people from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as have a passion for working with at-risk, vulnerable populationsBasic understanding of information technology and ability to organize, analyze and synthesize complex data from various sourcesWillingness to work flexible hours in order to meet the organization’s needs/demands, as well as participate in community eventsCar and valid NJ driver’s license
