Kootenai Outpatient Surgery (KOS) is hiring a Clinical Manager! $10,000 sign on bonus!

NO weekends, NO call, NO major holidays.

KOS is a for profit Ambulatory Surgery Center joint venture with Kootenai Health. With a new expansion for a total of four operating rooms - multi-specialty. The populations we serve are six months to geriatric.

Our ideal candidate will have direct experience in an ambulatory surgery center, able to step into any clinical RN position to help as needed. Have knowledge of federal and state regulations and familiar with The Joint Commission. On a typical day you would oversee the four operating rooms Monday – Friday clinical hours however morning report for the pre op staff is at 5:30am. We are flexible with your hours and strive to allow a healthy work life balance. The overall team is highly collaborative, supportive culture with open communication. ($120,000 - 141,600yr)

Responsibilities

•    Directs the provision of nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and legal responsibilities as defined by the State Board of Nursing

•    Provides a positive and desirable experience for each physician utilizing the facility with a hospitable and caring service for patients, family members, physicians’ office staff, and all other external clients

•    Provides for dedicated, competent, and well-trained nursing personnel and clinical support staff 

•    Evaluates clinical staff performance and has the authority for personnel actions

•    Facilitates value-added, profitable, cost-effective services

•    Coordinates training and education of clinical staff

•    Responsible for clinical regulatory compliance, quality improvement and infection control

•    Develops, supports and adheres to all company and KOS policies and procedures, codes of conduct, ethics, compliance and HIPAA requirements

•    Evaluates programs and activities of patient care and assists with performance improvement functions

•    Participates in best practices, quality, and risk initiatives to improve patient care

•    Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem identification and resolution in patient care areas

•    Assists with the Surgery Center's compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and with appropriate review and accreditation agencies

•    Maintains clinical competency and nursing knowledge and can perform preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative nursing care

•    Assists Administrator with creating and managing the clinical operating and capital budget

•    Assumes administrative responsibilities of the center in the absence of the Administrator

•    Operational needs of Kootenai Outpatient Surgery may require availability to work all shifts to meet the needs of the patients
 

 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

BSN required State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho Certification in nursing specialty preferred (e.g. Certified Ambulatory Surgery Nurse (CNAMB)) or (Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)) Minimum 4 years’ related clinical experience required Demonstrated leadership, professional communication, organizational and public relations skills required BLS required ACLS required PALS preferred and able to obtain within 6 months of employment
