**Clinical Molecular Biologist** Clinical Richmond, CA, US Pay Rate Low: 40 | Pay Rate High: 45 + Added - 06/02/2025 Apply for Job The Molecular Biologist will be responsible for performing a variety of molecular diagnostic assays, interpreting results, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of testing. **Responsibilities:** + Perform molecular diagnostic assays, including PCR, real-time PCR, Sanger sequencing, ddPCR, fragment analysis. + Analyze and interpret test results, including troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies. + Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing activities, quality control data, and equipment maintenance. + Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and laboratory procedures, including HIPAA and CLIA. + Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of testing. + Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize assay performance. + Collaborate with other laboratory staff and clinicians to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information. + Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. + Contribute to the development and validation of new molecular diagnostic assays. + Present data and findings at team meetings. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. + 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably with molecular diagnostic testing. + Strong understanding of molecular biology principles and techniques. + Proficiency in PCR, real-time PCR, Sanger sequencing, NGS, fragment analysis. + Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills. + Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + ASCP or equivalent certification in Molecular Biology preferred.
