Job Purpose: He/she will be expected to provide support nutrition screening, active case detection, early referral and admission of acute malnourished children through routine nutrition screening and Growth Monitoring and Promotion (GMP) programs, simplified and combined treatment protocol in family MUAC approach, SAM/MAM management services and facilizing of SC/OTP supplies procurement , job aids, and anthropometric equipment’s for the management of Acute Malnutrition in Outpatient therapeutic program (OTP) and Stabilization Center (SC).
Major Responsibility
Conduct post training follow up using post training checklist, Responsible for the outreach work and follow up of community volunteers,Supervises the environmental health and ensure the availability of IPC supplies ,Supports the compilation of weekly and monthly report, Responsible in mentoring of OPD, MCH, surveillance, supply chain,Support HWs and HEW in recording and reporting of PHC ,Participate joint supportive supervision and review meeting /joint evaluation Participate monthly meetingHe/she will be expected to provide support nutrition screening, active case detection, early referral and admission of acute malnourished children through routine nutrition screening and Growth Monitoring and Promotion (GMP) programs, simplified and combined treatment protocol in family MUAC approach, SAM/MAM management services and facilizing of SC/OTP supplies procurement , job aids, and anthropometric equipment’s for the management of Acute Malnutrition in Outpatient therapeutic program (OTP) and Stabilization Center (SC).In addition the role of the officer will be Prepare weekly report, Prepare monthly program update report, Support on any assessment report , HEA impact dashboard and Health and nutrition 5W- matrix report , Support on the preparation of monthly IPPT update,Participate in woreda level and zonal meeting, work closely with government health offices, visit health facilities and identify existing health emergency gap.WV’s smooth relation with the government office, Quality implementation and delivery of the primary health care services for the drought affected communitiesPrepare terms of reference (TOR), organize and facilitate training, review meeting and draw best lessons/practice.Government health workers capacitate , Health facilities capacity on the timely responding, preparing of the preparedness planEnsure all referral cases will be timely transferred to the nearest health facilityPrimary health care service equipped with essential materialsConduct planning and promotion of awareness creation preventative and promotive health care services at community levelRequired Professional Experience
Previous work experience at least 3 years in risk identification, outbreak detection, PHEM, OPD consultation, ICCM/IMNCI, maternal health, and supply chain management areas.Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Bachelor Degree in Nursing with minimum of three years relevant experience.certificate on Clinical case management , PHEM, MHPSS,IMNCI/ICCM/Family planningPreferred Knowledge and Qualifications
