Responsible for directing unit activities and personnel on assigned shift to ensure high quality patient care, teamwork, and coordination of care.  Determines work priorities, prepares daily work assignments, approves overtime and monitors compliance for regulatory requirements.  Serves as resource person for unit personnel in resolving operation and patient care problems, acts as physician liaison, and role model for staff.

Our Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) allows us to care for the sickest newborns. 35 bed unit with strong family centered care and single room setup. Work directly with Neonatologist.

Baccalaureate Degree or higher in NursingPrevious charge nurse experienceCurrent State of Illinois Registered Nurse licenseCurrent CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red CrossCertification in specialty preferred
