ResponsibilitiesA day in the life of a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
Functioning as an expert clinical nurse resource assisting team members, physicians, patients, and the community in new or complex interventionsActing as a role model by demonstrating current trends and providing professional development opportunities for team membersIndependently developing, implementing, and evaluating an educational plan to meet the needs of team membersActively participating in the research process and utilizing the information to further enhance patient careFunctioning in the role of the clinical nurse specialist to nursing staff, administrators, physicians, and the communityFacilitating patient teaching and support programs utilizing the nursing process Qualifications Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is requiredMSN or Master's Degree in a health-related field is requiredBLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hirePediatric nursing experience requiredNational certification is requiredNurse educator experience preferred
