Summary:
The Clinical Educator is responsible for assisting the department leader with the development and execution of clinical education and orientation of clinical personnel. The incumbent will create educational curriculum to support the Agency’s clinical programs with a focus on nursing education and skill competency. The educator assists the department leader with collaborative relationships between the Agency and School's of Nursing to support clinical internship experiences for student nurses.
Responsibilities:
+ Works collaboratively with clinical leaders to conduct annual educational needs assessment for clinical employees.
+ Creates and implements clinical education using diverse teaching strategies (synchronous, asynchronous, virtual reality, in-person simulation and classes).
+ Assists in the placement of nursing and certified nursing assistant students from various universities, colleges, and training programs.
+ Collaborates with other Education Department members to coordinate and track the progress of nursing orientations, nurse sponsorships and evaluates overall educational program effectiveness.
+ Facilitates and oversees case management and skill development of all Registered Nurse I employees.
+ Other Duties- Foundation Class Instructor, HH/HO, New Grad Residency Lead, Leverage technology, travel and build education, Home Health Aide teacher/class facilitator, knowledge of Nursing and Aide compliance to support staff education, mentor/coach.
Other Information:
+ Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and agency required auto liability insurance. Must be able to drive within assigned region as directed. Statewide travel may be required based on position.
+ BLS for Healthcare Providers is required to be obtained prior to independent visits.

+ Presentation software with the ability to create presentations with the ability to incorporate animation, audio, video, time delays, as well as designing themes and variants with animations and effects.
