Job Description Clinical Nurse - Emergency Oncology (Nights/Evenings)

 

Are you ready to join our dynamic Nursing Team?

 

The Emergency Center provides emergent and comprehensive patient-centered care to MSKCC’S patients, families, and staff 24 hours, 7 days a week. Patients are triaged/evaluated, and a decision is made to admit, discharge, or place a patient in observation status in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU).

 

Role Overview:

Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in our Urgent Care Center.Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care.Provide outstanding patient-centered care to our patients and unregistered patients.Deliver care to employees who are injured on the premises.Key Qualifications: NYS RN license and BSNA minimum of 1.5-2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience required.Critical care/ Emergency Department and/or medical oncology experience highly preferredMay consider New Graduate RNs with a preceptorship or externship in a critical care area.Core Skills: Willing to take action and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care within the organization.Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged, using both formal and informal development.Approachable and comfortable with diverse groups of people and able to make others comfortable with you.An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.Additional Information:Location: 1275 York Avenue, NY, NY 10065Schedule: Full-time 12 hour shifts 7:30PM-8AM with weekend and holiday rotation required 

Pay Range: $117,00.00 - $145,450.00.
