The position operates as the Tumor Board Coordinator and is a key member of the cancer center team. The position works at least twenty-four hours per week coordinating, facilitating, and leading the cancer center tumor board conferences which occur twice per week. This position also plans and implements the annual cancer screening event and the annual cancer prevention event. **Responsibilities:** 1. 2. General knowledge of EPIC and the ability to follow EPIC workflows for reporting discussions during tumor board conferences a plus but not required. 3. Knowledge on Commission on Cancer Standards a plus but not required. 4. Comfort with basic computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, Webex, etc.). 5. Disseminating requests for cases to present at the appropriate tumor board conferences (i.e. General Tumor Board, Breast Tumor Board or Thoracic Tumor Board) and reminders to attend conferences. 6. Preparation for 1-6 oncology cases per week to be presented at an appropriate tumor board conference for discussion. 7. Data collection, fact finding and assembling of records pertaining to the oncology diagnosis (i.e. physician notes, radiology reports, pathology reports, etc.). 8. Document in EPIC the physician discussions using pre-established smart phrases to report next steps in patient care. 9. Record keeping and presentation of all tumor board conferences as required by the Commission on Cancer to maintain our accreditation as a Community Cancer Center. 10. Email Tumor Board, Breast Conference and Thoracic Conference memorandums and attendance sheets to AREA L AHEC for CME tracking purposes. 11. Record Keeping and presentation of the oncology screening and prevention events as required by the Commission on Cancer to maintain our accreditation as a Community Cancer Center. 12. Other duties as assigned.
