The Department of Nursing is seeking a motivated and transformational leader with a passion for neurology patients to fill the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) or CNL Fellow role supporting the Neuroscience Unit.
What you will do:
Fulfill a 1.0 FTE; full-time, salaried positionTypical work schedule is normal business hours, Monday through Friday; however, with supporting a 24/7 team, flexibility for off shift support is requiredThis role supports nursing practice and patient outcomes for patients on the Neuroscience Unit.The CNL is responsible for overseeing the care of a cohort of patients and assuring optimal care coordination and outcomes for their area of responsibility.The role provides clinical leadership at the point of care and is vital in mitigating risks for our patients, promoting effective communication across disciplines and guiding nurses to continually grow in their practice. As transformational leaders, CNLs use change management and process improvement skills to close gaps in care systems. Act as a change agent and advocate while participating in both unit-based and system-wide improvement work and projectsCollaborate with great teams: Neuroscience Unit Leadership Teams (Director, Manager, Professional Development Nurse, Quality Improvement Specialist Nurse)Large group of 15+ CNLs and CNL FellowsClinicians, frontline staff, and stroke coordinators

What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing requiredMust graduate with a master’s degree in nursing and obtain CNL certification within 3 yearsRN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hireMinimum of 3-4 years of relevant RN experience. Medical-surgical nursing preferred; neuro experience is a plus.
