Wage Range: $112,923 - $180,689 annualized. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role. Offers of employment are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, applicable education and internal equity.

EvergreenHealth Monroe is a rapidly growing DNV-accredited, acute care hospital, licensed for 72 beds, including 3 OR suites/2 procedure rooms, emergency department, inpatient and ancillary services. We are designated as a Level II Cardiac Center, Level III Stroke Center, and Level IV Trauma center . JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Office and Executive Director of Emergency Services, the Clinical Nurse Manager adheres to all hospital Policies and Procedures, Philosophy of Care, and Standards of Excellence. Ensures that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients in the department in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, and program plans of the hospital. Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education. Collaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care. Assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operations and functions as the site coordinator for the Trauma, Stroke, and Cardiac programs. Provides ongoing personnel management and evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies. Participates in nursing Quality Improvement. Maintains unit administration, including scheduling and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care. Collaborates with the clinical educator for the coordination and implementation of a comprehensive educational training program at EvergreenHealth Monroe to ensure that it enhances professional development and promotes the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality healthcare.
REQUIRED EDUCATION. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required
+ Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license/eligible
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six months of hire
+ Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within six months of hire
+ 3-5 years acute nursing experience
+ Must complete National Incident Management System IS 100 and 700 within 60 days of employment.
+ Prior CCU and/or ED management experience preferred
+ Prefer candidates with Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational ability, nursing management and leadership skills. Demonstrated clinical expertise in area standards. Knowledge and ability to apply current theories, techniques and practices of nursing within their specialty area. Has a general understanding of financial management and a commitment to the provision of cost-effective healthcare.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:
Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable diseases and BBP, risk of injury from lifting patients and operation of equipment.
WORK CONTACT GROUP:
All hospital departments, employees, patients, families, visitors, medical staff and EMS partners.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, lift and transport patients. Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull. Walks and stands for most of the working day.

+ Complies with all regulations, policy development, and maintenance of documentation and records, to maintain hospital’s Level II Cardiac Center, Level III Stroke Center, and Level IV Trauma center designation.
+ Provides leadership for the department or service unit that contributes to the financial effectiveness of the organization by preparing and recommending an annual operating budget, using formal measurement and analysis techniques to recommend, review, and measure financial outcomes and decisions, monitoring budgetary indicators on an ongoing basis, and reviewing budget variances, including staffing, and instituting corrective measures to meet financial targets. Effectively reviews and plans for a 3-year capital budget cycle.
+ Participates in strategic planning and budgeting processes and develops action plans that ensure that both the department or service unit and the organization achieve annual objectives.
+ Communicates regularly with Nursing Leadership regarding contract development, fiscal accountability, HR and employee issues, programs and dynamics.
+ Identifies number and level of personnel required to provide patient care, and adjusts staffing and assignments appropriately based upon abilities and limitations of staff and acuity of patients.
+ Identifies adverse changes in patient status; provides staff support/assistance as needed and reports adverse outcomes per standards.
+ Identifies staff educational needs; develops programs to meet those needs.
+ Coordinates activities of the unit to ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with nursing department standards, including the identification of staff educational needs. Develops strategies to meet educational / training needs, including competency tools to comply with organizational and regulatory standards. Assists in the evaluation of staff skills as appropriate.
+ Maintains adequate supplies and equipment on unit.
+ Assumes responsibility for conflict resolution involving staff, patients, families, physicians and other departments.
+ Directs emergency situations following established hospital policies and procedures.
+ Demonstrates competent clinical nursing skills including an understanding of the principles of growth and development in assessing patient age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
+ Ensures staff participation in Performance Improvement activities applicable to the clinical setting; submits audits to Quality Improvement, reports and statistics per standards and applies findings to improve quality of care.
+ Evaluates the effectiveness of the coordinated medical and nursing patient care management.
+ Performs outreach as directed to staff physicians, community groups and other healthcare organizations to further EHM interests, build and develop relationships, and promote community education.
+ Participates in committees as assigned.
