Overview

Pavilion 5 is a 30-bed med-surg telemetry unit with a focus on hematology and oncology patients. Pavilion 5 is at the forefront of cancer care in partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The floor is staffed by a team of oncologists, nurses, and support staff who are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

Short Description

The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the day-to-day operations of the clinical unit.

 

The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible to:

Oversee assignments.Assist in quality and throughput goals.Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, and compassionate manner.Role model/mentor clinical staff to address patient needs effectively.Supports quality patient care and organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director.Identify and support the elements of improved care quality care using HRO principles. Experience Required

A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.

1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities

Education Requirements

Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing 

License/Certification Requirements

Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)

Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS)

Special Requirements

Hours: 7 pm -7 am, weekends and holidays required
