Opportunity Overview: IU Health is excited to offer a Clinical Nurse Specialist Fellowship (Outcomes Specialist) position. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support the Perioperative/OR unit at Riley Hospital. This full-time, day shift position operates Monday through Friday, making it a perfect step forward in your nursing career with Indiana's premier healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and evaluate outcomes management programs for designated patient populations. Deliver education, consultation, and advanced management for specified service lines. Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure high-quality care while managing clinical costs and service outcomes. Leverage evidence-based methodologies to assess care pathways and identify opportunities for quality improvement and cost reduction. Spearhead initiatives for resource utilization and develop data-driven evaluations for ongoing performance assessments.

Qualifications:

Requires advanced clinical skills; with appropriate credentialing based on the patient population (this is often reflected in an advance degree in the field of specialization; i . e . MSN or RRT. Requires knowledge of research/methodologies. Requires strong interpersonal; problem solving and analytical skills. Requires strong organizational skills. Requires effective communication and conflict resolution skills. Requires ability to lead and delegate effectively. Requires strong clinical expertise within assigned patient population. Requires the ability to educate patient populations and influence behaviors. Requires the ability to educate staff and serve in a mentoring role. Requires strong computer skills and proficiency in applicable software (spreadsheet; database; etc . ).
