Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $47.40 - $51.25. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

Clinical Nutritionist – Outpatient

Casual(19.5 hours)

Schedule

Days: 2-3 days/week – Monday, Wednesday and flexible 3rd day

Hours: 8 am – 4 pm

Location: Hybrid – onsite at HSS Main Hospital (535 E. 70th Street) and remote

Position Summary:

Successful candidate will support the Food and Nutrition Department at Hospital for Special Surgery by providing comprehensive outpatient nutrition care onsite, to meet our patients’ needs.

Position Skills/Requirements

Strong clinical, critical thinking and communication skillsAbility to take initiative, working independently and efficiently, with good time management skillsResponsibilities include:Treating patients both in-person and virtuallyEstablishing and providing ongoing carePost-discharge phone calls to patients diagnosed with malnutrition during their inpatient admission, and facilitating transition to outpatient care as neededExperience with Epic preferred

Required Credentials

Registered Dietitian (RD)

Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in NY state

Masters degree, preferred
