Job Requirements
Job Knowledge and Skills
+ Handles multiple priorities, and work under pressure.
+ Ability to make decisions using independent discretion.
+ Computer skills.
+ Must have excellent patient relation and interpersonal skills.
+ Must read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
+ Effective use of telephone skills.
+ Manage patient emotions and self-emotions such as fear, anger, hostility and violence.
+ Work alone or with a team and in crowded/confined spaces.
+ Thorough knowledge of drugs and drug therapy.
Education and Experience
+ 5-6 years of college of Pharmacy, B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD, 1500 hours of pharmacy internship.
+ Graduate Degree, License / Certification, minimum 3 years of on-the-job pharmacist experience.
+ Active State Licensure, mandatory
+ Approved continuing education, 15 hours per year. 6-12 months hospital pharmacy.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involve a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. Lifting/carrying frequently up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Some stress is related to a high level of responsibility for quality care. The ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English is required.
