Job Summary The Critical Care/Neuro Care Team pharmacist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for patients in medical and neurological intensive care or step-down units including order verification, rounds, and pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultation. A Pharmacist is responsible for performance and/or supervision of various aspects of the medication use system including but not limited to: therapeutic recommendations, advocate for patient safety, preparation, distribution, monitoring, oversight of administration, and billing. This practitioner will be primarily based on the Critical Care/Neuro Care Team and may cross-cover other areas as needed. The pharmacist’s focus is on the quality of care through comprehensive medication management. Critical care experience is preferred Will need residency training PGY1 or comparable acute care experience Critical Care/Emergency Medicine PGY2 are preferred Will work a rotating 1st and 2nd shift – 2 weeks of 1st shift and 1 week of 2nd shift, every 3rd weekend (1st shift – 0700-1530, 2nd shift – 1230-2100) Responsibilities It is the responsibility of every Novant Health team member to deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time. Qualifications Education: 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, required. Doctorate of Pharmacy, preferred. Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy, required. Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required. Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team. Job Opening ID 60051
