Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost effective pharmaceutical care including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff. Qualifications Job Requirements: B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy. Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting. Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship OR 2+ year of clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship. Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy. Other applicable state requirements – i.e. sterile compounding, etc. BLS & ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue). Preferred Job Requirements: Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
