Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from a recognized college or university; current NC pharmacy license required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred. Completion of accredited PGY1 residency program or 5 years of equivalent clinical experience preferred specialty residency preferred. Board certification required within 12 months of hire or within 12 months of initial date of eligibility, whichever occurs later. Must meet ASHP PGY1 Residency Program Director criteria. Excellent communication and teaching skills. Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies. Knowledge of quality measures. Considerable skill in performing pharmacy procedures; Considerable ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members; Maintains active BLS and ACLS certification. Maintains PALS certification if required by specialty. Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
