**Pay Range:** $39.57 - $70.78 per hour

**Summary:**
The Clinical Practice Consultant RN, is an informal nurse leader responsible for maintaining and improving clinical operations and quality of care for the Rush Medical Group (RMG).
This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care which requires a combination of clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of quality improvement methodologies. The Clinical Practice Consultant - RN plays a key role in implementing quality improvement initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert in ambulatory care delivery, and

Job Requirements
• Current State of Illinois registered nurse license.
• Master’s degree or higher.
• Current specialty certification.
• Maintain current basic life support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of three years of registered nurse experience with at least two years of ambulatory experience.
• Formal rounding and on-site presence within the dedicated region is required at least 50% of the time.

Evidence-Based Intervention
• The Clinical Practice Consultant, RN conducts comprehensive reviews of clinical practices to identify areas for improvement; implements new guidelines and evidence-based protocols to enhance patient outcomes.
• Utilizes evidence-based teaching and learning strategies to guide the development and implementation of training programs.
• Uses data-driven analysis to assess the effectiveness of evidence-based interventions, refining and adjusting practices to improve care quality and meet evolving healthcare standards.
Relationships and Caring
• Builds strong relationships with multidisciplinary, and cross-functional teams by promoting open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration, ensuring that all staff work cohesively to provide patient-centered care.
• Provides mentorship and support to clinical staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Critical Thinking
• Interpret patient care data and performance metrics to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and implement evidence-based solutions that enhance outcomes and efficiency.
• Applies critical thinking to complex patient cases; collaborates with clinical teams to develop innovative treatment plans that address unique needs and improve patient outcomes.
• Implements processes to algin clinical practices with the organization’s goals.
• Implements strategies to minimize complications, improve safety protocols, and maintain high standards of care within the organization.
Technical Expertise
• Leverages advanced healthcare technologies, such as electronic health records (EHR) and clinical decision support systems, to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance patient care outcomes.
• Utilizes data analytics tools to track patient outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and inform evidence-based decisions that optimize clinical practices and resource allocation.
• Implements and monitors technological solutions that support continuous quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing patient safety and care quality.
• Provides ongoing education and training to clinical staff on the use of new medical technologies and software, ensuring teams are proficient and able to maximize these tools for better patient outcomes.
Leadership
• Serves as a clinical leader and role model for employees.
• Facilitates change management initiatives to drive improvements in clinical practice.
• Obtains/ maintains knowledge of innovations and trends in practice and technology and is a champion for change to enhance quality and improve efficiency.
• Demonstrates accountability for own professional practice, including progress toward achievement of annual goals.
• Actively participates and leads RMG quality improvement/ quality assurance initiatives. Examples of the Clinical Practice Consultant, RN Leader Standard Work includes:
o Participation in clinic huddles
o Completion of Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement (QAPI) audits
