Job Description

Job Summary

The Clinical Practice Specialist (CPS) of Nursing Excellence and Strategy plays a pivotal role in advancing the Division of Patient Care Services strategic initiatives and outcomes. This position is responsible for assisting in the development of the division’s strategic plan, overseeing critical initiatives across the division, and supporting our Magnet recognition efforts. The ideal candidate possesses robust project management experience, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong technology skillset to drive innovative improvements in patient care and nursing practice. 

Additionally, this role is critical in sustaining and growing our professional governance organization, ensuring robust frontline-led decision-making and continuous improvement. The CPS of Nursing Excellence and Strategy recognizes the importance of building partnerships with all members of the health care team, exhibits behavior that displays teamwork, professionalism and respect for diversity, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment requiring adaptability and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

Education 

Bachelor's degree in nursing (required) 

Master’s Degree (preferred, or to be initiated within 1 year of hire)  

Certification/Licensure/Registration 

BLS (AHA / required) 

Active Maryland nursing license 

Experience and Skills: 

5-7 years nursing experience (required) 

1+  years project management experience (required) 

Exceptional organizational, communication (written and verbal), and process improvement skills. 

Advanced technology proficiency, including expertise in Office 365 and Smartsheet. 

Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 

Demonstrated ability to assess complex situations, identify opportunities, and develop effective, long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Pay Range: $49.35-$74.05Other Compensation (if applicable):
