Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Clinical Program Administrator for the department of Surgery, division of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Clinical Program Administrator supervises the Program Supervisor, Advanced Care Providers, administrative staff and clinical research personnel. Serves as a role model for all staff. Assumes all managerial responsibility for defined services. Provides oversight to program including clinical quality metric related to the program, compliance with all research policies and procedures as well as appropriate patient identification. Oversees surgical scheduling as well as collaborates with hospital Operating room leadership on daily clinical operations, reconciles patient billing vs. procedures, ensures all care is documented appropriately and within specified time frames. Collaborates with research partners to procure necessary protocol devices, works with OR on delivery of device for patient treatment and ensures all research protocols are followed. Works to negotiate research contracts with sponsor.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides oversight for the clinical care of all cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery patients. Provides supervision and leadership to all divisional personnel. Serves as liaison to hospital cardiac, or and service line leadership. Actively participates in program development efforts to enhance the services provided the divisions. Assures the provision of appropriate practice operations. Manage all aspects of research. Develops strategy, operational plans, and practice protocols to ensure all care meet organizational and programmatic expectations to ensure success and growth. Develops business plans and analysis relating to growth strategies; implements operational plans related to growth initiatives or development. Collaborate with hospital, service line and divisional leadership to collect, submit and review clinical quality metrics. Implement and track associated actions plans to ensure all outcomes are at or exceed expectations.
