This Mobile Stroke Unit has been operating within San Mateo County for over 6 years and was part of the BEST MSU clinical trial. As coordinator you will be treating both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes while working directly with EMS, CT technologist and a Stroke Neurologist. Some clinical knowledge of basic stroke care is preferred. Additional Job description outlined below. Plans, develops, coordinates and directs the operation of a clinical nursing program. Oversees the execution of procedures and adherence to proper protocols and develops and/or administers performance improvement initiatives for the program. Assumes responsibility for program quality and compliance, and the education and competency of nursing staff. Serves as a clinical and educational consultant to the nursing staff, medical staff, management, patients and other members of the health care team regarding the program.
